Karzzz Movie Review

Good news - no devastating damage done (to put things in perspective, this is the guy who *starred* in Aap kaa Suroor) Bad news - We saw this almost 25 years ago and can watch it again at home any time we like! Then, pray tell us, why would we want to see Himessss-bhai instead of chintu-mama?

A Wednesday Movie Review

Written by

A city under seize. 5 bombs threatening to go off. The administration, in turn, turning all its resources up-side-down. We’ve seen this and a lot more in Hollywood. But, when you take this basic plot, add some very basic action to it, cast the most wonderful cast you could have, you have me arrested - not wanting to blink once.

Rating : Watch for sure - preferably in theatre (Rating scale)

Last Lear Movie Review

Written by

I’m sure at most times, our mind works in moments, switching threads with or without connection, fluttering around various compartments of our lives. The Last Lear appears to be a peek into the writer’s thoughts. We get glimpses playing out one after the other. Only, these glimpses are enacted by the most talented set of performers we have.

Who hasn’t had a row with a friend? Time to make that call and hug the friend you didn?t patch-up with ages ago. That’s the warmth you feel while watching Rock On!!. In the end, you connect and that’s what counts!

Singh is King Movie Review

Punjabi is queenn. Wit is Jack. Plot & logic are thrown out of the deck. So, the viewers are ace jokers! But, who am I to stop Akshay-Katrina fans from rushing to the theaters?

Love Story 2050 Movie Review

A brand new, spanking bright low has been hit! What else can you say when calling a movie ‘no brainer’ is like paying it a compliment? Ladies and gentlemen, if the Baweja family’s vision were to come true, the future of romance is very bleak.

Rating : Skip it! Switch channels if it’s on cable! (Rating scale)

Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic Movie Review

Though I have huge complaints in most departments, I can’t deny that it’s perfect packaging for kids in the 3-12 age group. With hardly any “sad” moments, the characters are mostly colorful and chirpy. But, given my reservations, should I actually encourage my kids to watch this when not too long ago Taare Zameen Par was around? Oh, why not? There’s enough room for everybody.

Rating : Wait for video release or no kids for company? Skip it! (Rating scale)

De Taali Movie Review

A 2.5 hour long movie. With about an hour’s worth of smiles, laughs and hard-core laughter filled in. All because of fresh dialogue and awesome comic timing. You have to be willing to tolerate the many out of place songs and the “sheeeeesh” climax though.

Mere Baap Pehle Aap Movie Review

A casual friendly relationship between dad and son could have worked if the movie were about 30 minutes shorter. Otherwise, it is the usual Priyadarshan fare.
