The World Cup is peaking with Ireland recording the first upset of the tournament by beating England. However, Ayaz is vocal about whether they can sustain this success and that there should be a better way of inducting the minnows in the world cup by having a more rigourous selection process. Ayaz and Minal take us through the bowling strengths of all teams. The surprise package is Shahid Afridi who has already bagged two 5 fors in three matches. Imran Tahir from South Africa made a dream debut for South Africa knocking off three wickets against West Indies. Ayaz places special respect for the young man and Minal wonders when will our spinners get their act together! Minal brings up the Ponting behaviour who "accidentally" hurt a TV set and Ayaz has an interesting theory on why players should be allowed to do this!

The much awaited, Tanu Weds Manu released is the subject of review in this episode. Indian Shaadi movies tend to start of well but would it manage to hold its ground through out? Kangana has has shed her "high" image through tanu (she passes out in her opening scene but who cares for details). Meetu gives us her opinion about whether to watch or skip this movie.

TKM #43 - Indian internet completes 15 years
Written by Aditya MhatreIn this longish episode of Indicast, Manan & I talk about the 15 long years that India has had internet and we did get a bit nostalgic sharing our personal dial up internet stories. India ranks 4th in the world with 81 million users and 1 million domain names registered however, the stats dont consider the quality of internet service which has been a huge problem in India. We hope that the upcoming 3G launches brings respite to us. In other topics, we discuss about mobile app stores hitting India, PPL digital revenues surging, 12th Planning Commission launching a page on facebook, the big Nokia and Microsoft alliance and BTW, we might be in a tech bubble.

This podcast is a medley of top players to watch out for, India's possible team composition, key players and possible upsets.

If cricket is somewhat of a religion in India, Football in Bengal can perhaps match that hype. In this podcast, among other things, Arunava who is currently in Kolkata on a vacation takes us through his rather rough experience of watching Indian fans in the stadium! Nani and Arunava also talk about the latter's Doha experience and how prepared is Qutar for hosting the WC 2022. Nani plays the eternal optimist hoping that India can make it to the 2022 Fifa World Cup, but if it does, Arunava reckons that it will be the most supported team considering the vast Indian contingent there.

TSB Cricket # 4 - WC 2011. Countdown Begins
Written by Aditya MhatreAyaz and Minal start the podcast by taking us through the recently concluded India and South Africa ODI series and the gains that both countries can look forward to carry in the world cup 2011. While Virat Kohli and Pathan Sr's form gives our selectors some pleasant worry as they will have to drop at least one batsman, Ayaz reckons that Raina may have to bear the brunt of their splendid run. This podcast also covers teams from the Group A with special focus on Pakistan cricket which has submitted its team without naming its captain! The coverage is back to ESPN STAR sports and they face a touch challenge to bring us unadulterated cricketing content (sans ads between balls!).

What you see (in the promos) is what you get. Over-the-top, no-head-nor-tail, senselessness served in the name of unpretentious cinema. Sure, many from the crowd around me were laughing, hooting, and whistling their hearts out. At what though, is beyond me. No thanks, I'm very comfortable with my sense of humor.

TSB Cricket #3 - Ind vs SA Test Series Wrap Up
Written by Aditya MhatreAyaz and Minal are back with the wrap up of the India v/s South Africa Test Series. Ayaz had predicted a 1-1 before the series started and that is how it ended. It was a fair result for both the teams. Ayaz would have liked both the teams to be a bit aggressive in the 3rd test by going for the win but a series draw was a good result for India. The other topics discussed include the best players of the tournament and also a tribute to Pradeep Vijaykar, a noted sports journalist
