Niranjana, host of “Voice of the NGO”, a series of podcasts that would aim to make listeners more aware of the NGO scene in the city of Mumbai.
When Mr. Bhagwanji Raiyani, founder of Janhit Manch sees an act of injustice in our country, he doesn't turn a blind eye. He uses his weapon of choice - public interest litigation. At the age of 72, he spends two days a week in court checking up on the status of the many cases he has filed. His organisation, Janhit Manch, spearheads the judicial activism movement in our country.
In this episode he talks about the effort involved in filing PILs, meeting Union Law Minister Veerappa Moily, and some of the successes he has enjoyed in his quest to see justice served.
